About

My name is Nate Sheff. I moved from Wisconsin to Connecticut in 2011 to pursue a graduate degree in philosophy, and I’ve been teaching and writing in the Nutmeg State ever since.

I have blogged on here, and my posts are mostly about philosophy.

I’ve also had my work published elsewhere online:

“A Respect for Old Things” at 3 Quarks Daily (July 3, 2023)

“What We’re Doing When We’re Doing Epistemology” at Aeon.co (November 2, 2021)

“Wilfrid Sellars, Sensory Experience, and the ‘Myth of the Given’,” at Psyche.co (March 17, 2021)

“Enjoying Vicious Artists” at iai.tv (September 4, 2018)

When I’m not doing this, I’m hiking with my wife and our dog, or reading with our cat.
